Mortgage Coin (MG) — a fee-routing token that legally pays off mortgages for verified Robinhood users through automated 15-minute payout cycles.
On June 21, 2025, Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev announced a mortgage benefit for Gold subscribers, stating that "a mortgage is among the largest and most important financial transactions of your life." Mortgage Coin operationalizes this thesis: trading fees are collected, routed transparently, and distributed as legal mortgage payments to Robinhood users with verified active mortgages.
Unlike speculative airdrops, Mortgage Coin targets a real, measurable liability — home mortgage principal — and applies fee revenue directly against it. Recipients are identified through Robinhood's public API and the Sage Home Loans partnership data layer.
American homeowners carry over $12 trillion in mortgage debt. Robinhood Gold members already receive preferential mortgage rates (6.110% APR vs 6.860% national average on 30-year fixed), but rate discounts alone do not accelerate principal reduction. Meme coin trading generates substantial fee volume with no productive destination.
Mortgage Coin bridges this gap: every swap fee becomes a mortgage payment for someone who actually holds one.
Mortgage Coin is deployed as a token with a transfer tax / swap fee mechanism. On each trade, a percentage of the transaction value is collected and routed to the dev wallet:
Dev Wallet: 0x19ec2012a05930df251f95ed2846b5904e6e94a4
Fees accumulate in the dev wallet and are batch-processed every 15 minutes. Each batch:
Mortgage Coin uses Robinhood's public API to identify users eligible for payouts. The verification pipeline checks:
User identifiers are hashed before public display. Payout records show masked usernames (e.g., A**xd) and truncated wallet addresses. Full verification data is stored locally and never transmitted to third parties.
Each payout is structured as a third-party mortgage payment — the same mechanism used when a family member or employer contributes to your mortgage. Payments are applied to:
Recipients receive a 1099-MISC for aggregate payments exceeding IRS reporting thresholds. Mortgage Coin maintains compliance records in the local data store.
All payout history, fee totals, and wallet activity are stored in local JSON files (data/payouts.json, data/stats.json, data/wallet.json). This ensures:
| Token | MG (Mortgage Coin) |
| Transfer fee | 4% per swap |
| Payout interval | 15 minutes |
| Dev wallet | 0x19ec2012a05930df251f95ed2846b5904e6e94a4 |
| Eligible pool | Robinhood Gold + active Sage Home Loans mortgage |
| Distribution method | Pro-rata by outstanding balance, batched every 15 min |
Mortgage Coin is an experimental token. Trading fees do not guarantee mortgage payoffs at any specific rate. Robinhood API access may change. Not all states are supported. This is not financial advice. DYOR.
